The Doctor Is In!

WHAT'S UP NEW YORK?! The Doc is back and here to stay! Well actually I've been here for over a month already, but I'm back on this LJ thang now.

It is so wonderful to be back in the city I love with the all my closest friends again. From the minute I set foot back in New York, my friends were out in a heartbeat to see me. I mean I was literally back in New York for like 2 hours and we were already together and hanging out. I've learned so many lessons over the past 2 years about life and one of them is that your real friends will always be there.

I'm back at my job and even though it is like my daily prison, I like it. It sure beats the hell out of sitting in my apartment all alone all day. The job is cool and now we're working toward wrapping it up because we are merging with S&S. We never thought it would happen, but we and our nemesis are joining forces. I won't be working there as of September 30th though, and since I'll be collecting unemployment from the state, I am going to be going to Colombia for at least a month. An opportunity like that doesn't come often.

The whole crew is back together. I mean all of it. It took four years to bring us all back together (and a lot of work, mostly on my part -- calling, e-mailing, stalking) but it's done. Fernando, Cindy, Armando, Rene, Sal, Mariel, Mohanie, Justin. Actually Shelley is missing but she's coming out next week or so. Also added to the crew are Tommy, Dre, Jennifer, Melissa, Greg and Louis. I also got in touch with Nadine recently, so she's been chillin and that makes me all giddy. LOL. (I'm aware that giddy is a very homo choice of word, but it's the word that best describes it).

It's been an ongoing crush that never ended since high school and something has always kept it from getting past friendship. Time, distance, girlfriends.... always something. For the last 2 years we've talked very little because she'd call and want to chill and I was always like, "OMG, I'd love to...." in my head but have to come up with some excuse not to because I had a girlfriend.

We were at Kush when I heard from her, so I picked her up and took her to Boozers. Actually we went to La Kueva in Astoria first. We had fun and then we chilled out again a few other times. Took her out to the Georgia Peach on wednesday with the niggaz after Justin's show and they were all like, "Damn when did you find her?" LOL. Then I took her home and she invited me upstairs cuz her mom wasn't home and she was lonely but I had to work the next day so I graciously declined. Last night we were at Justin's for our weekly BBQ. She wore a shirt that read, "Have you hugged my shirt lately?" and I took advantage of that a few times before she got pissed at me for sparkin up with Justin. Not pissed that I smoked, but because I was driving and smoked. And she was absolutely right. But she got over it once we were at Sal's house and we're cool now. It was just a single big hit, but I forgot Justin smokes that real good shit. LOL. Not that cheap crap I had tried in Florida. And especially since I hardly ever smoke, it hit me pretty hard.

Speaking of Sal's house, OMG that kid has the most amazing crib. Even Greg (who doesn't like Sal much) was like, "Dammnn!!". It seriously belongs on MTV Cribs or something. He has his basement hooked up with a full bar, pool table, couches, dart board, surround sound TV, and a banging stereo. I made Whiskey Sours for Mondo and Louis. That nigga Lou said it was the best drink he ever had in his life. I wouldn't say that much, but the word on the street is that I mix some pretty mean drinks. I may be going to bartending school soon too.

Hung out with Mando tonight, went to Master's to shoot some pool. It's so wonderful to be able to just go out and chill with anyone I like. I feel so great being reconnected with my friend even though sometimes we get on each others nerves or whatever. After pool we went to find his sister by the mall and then to hunt some niggaz for throwing a bottle at her. Fortuneatly we never found them, cuz Mondo was ready to kill someone.

Got home about 3:00 AM, talked to Deeni online and now I'm going to bed cuz church is early and tomorrow the whole crew is going to the beach. They'll be there early and I'm gonna meet them there later. Deeni asked if I was going and made a deal about me being there late, so I'm glad she's over my smoking thing. Tomorrow I get to see her again. Aiiiiight. ;-)
