Been Busy Lately

Well this past month has left little time for me to post many entries on this blog.

It's been a long and busy month for me. The overnights had me coming home around 1 PM, and then sleeping until about 9 or 10 PM, just to go back to work. It took time to get used to, but once I was in the swing of it, the overnights were not bad at all.

Of course, from the tense that I'm writing in, you can tell that I'm no longer working on overnights. As of tomorrow morning, I'll be working 9 AM to 5 PM.

In other news, Cindy and I started a new little project that has been taking up the little free time I have. Saltzman and Sal have jumped on board as well.

We went to go see Carlos Mencia at Caroline's a couple of weeks back. That was lots of fun. I came out of the club with abdominal pain from laughing so much.

This past weekend, we went to go hang in Woodside, cuz my brother was hanging out at this bar in Woodside. I got so freaking bent drinking Jim Beam in the car... it was ridiculous. At some point in the night, Kiko got my glasses and then lost 'em. I was really worried about what I would do without the glasses and then they miraculously appeared. No one is sure where they came from. LOL.

We've been going out every weekend, and I think that instead of telling stories twice, I'll just point you to Night Owlz, which is the project I've ben speaking of.

As I stated in my last entry, the Fire Department called me in for my agility test. I'll probably take it out of curiosity, but I have no intention of going to FDNY anytime soon, and possibly ever.

Well I had better go get some sleep. Tomorrow is a big day for me. =)

Great Timing, FDNY!

I came home today and found a letter from the FDNY asking me to report for my agility testing on Nov. 5th. After what happened today, I find the timing so amusing.

OK. Well it's late and I better get to work.

The Backboard Carry-up

It's 5:29 in the morning, Tuesday. Roland is sleeping, and here I am updating this blog courtesy of someones network on this block.

We just finished up our second call of the night which was dispatched as an ambulette call. They are always so deceiving. You always think it's gonna be a real easy call and it NEVER is.

So this patient has a fractured patella, and a cast that extends from her toes all the way up to the middle of her thigh. She lives in an old apartment building, on the fouth floor. No elevator.

We soon realize that the patient cannot make it upstairs on her new crutches, and the stairchair is out of the question since the patient cannot bend her leg. Roland brainstorms and suggests we use the backboard to carry her up.

OMG. Let me just say that I am so tired I can barely move my fingers to type. It took us about 20 minutes to complete that carry up. However we got a nice tip for a job well done.

Now we are parked on 163rd Street and Amsterdam Ave and there is a homeless man with a shopping cart full of cans and bottles singing that he can "show [me] how to love again" at the top of his lungs. LOL.

Gotta love the overnights.

The 4-in-1 B-Day Party

Me and The Tomster!Last night we had a very nice get-together at Kenny's bar Pat O'Briens. We were celebrating his birthday, along with Lori's, Tommy's and my brother Kiko's.

We got there nice and early, along with Monique and Louis. We ended up waiting a while for everyone to show up, but once the crew got together we proceeded to have a blast. There was so many of us last night, but to name a few; Kenny, Lori, Tommy, Kiko, Cindy, my brother's friend Carlos, Louis, Monique, Alex, Kenny's girl, Mark, Roland, his girl Maria, Denise, Soto, Maria (from AMR), Robert Kang, like 10 of Lori's friends, and a couple more AMR peoples. I really wish Saltzman had been able to make it.

The night started off with beer pong and just great conversations in the back room. Roland and some strange chinese girl that came out of nowhere teamed up and played beer pong for a while until she became psycho and started screaming and shit.

Alex... Yeah.I teamed up with Alex against Kenny (2 vs 1) and lost badly. I drank almost every cup on the table. Cindy laughed at me once the game was over. My brother kept saying beer pong is a waste of beer.

As the night progressed we move to the front of the bar, and of course Lori's friends had to start some drama outside and almost get the bar shut down. However things managed to stay non-violent and we all kept having a good time.

Kenny threw on a CD he had made and we found ourselves all dnacing and Kenny even started pole dancing on top of the bar. It was more like pole-humping but hey, to each his own.

Soto asked me to keep and eye on Maria but then Tommy started kicking it to her and it was pretty funny so I just stayed nearby and laughed. At some point in the next few minutes a Soul Train line broke out and I went down the line first, followed by Soto's ass dance, and then Kenny's riding a bronco dance. My brother did the Robot and then Roland busted out the 1980's moves. Freakin' Asians. LOL.

Kiko rests on Roland.Afterwards, my brother outsmarted some college-nerd type kid, and sent into into a brain overload. Then he took a break on Roland's shoulder. HAHA.

The rest of the night was fun, ending with us losing Kiko on Madison Avenue as he chased someone down yelling, "Run you Athiest bastards!!!" Carlos found him about a half hour later and I made the usual drop offs and spent the night in my car outside Cindy's house until her mom came out around 10:00 AM and told me to get my ass inside because I could die sleeping in my car. LOL.

Tonight we're going to meet up with Cindy's cousin Stacey and head over to Karma again. Saltzman is coming too, as well as my friend Samantha who is in from out of town this weekend. Some of you all might remember Sam from before, yes it's the same Sam. We thought it be nice to get together and catch up.

Well... I've spent all day at Cindy's house watching Gladiator and Country Music videos, and now it's time for us to head out. Updates and more pictures later!

Doc Out.
